Dr. Julius I. Bowen (age 95), born in Brooklyn, NY. March 7, 1930 to January 8, 2026. 

Physicist and Renaissance man. Graduate of Syracuse University and Catholic University, his career in applied physics spanned nearly 60 years in Bell labs, NOL, Raff Associates, and the Applied Physics Lab of Johns Hopkins University.

Surviving family members, daughters: Lisa Wright and Melanie Levit, spouse Shirley Levin, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. First wife: Jeanne Bowen (died 2008) and father to Steven Bowen (died 2012).

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 11, 1pm at Judean Memorial Gardens Chapel, 16225 Batchellors Forest Rd, Olney, MD 20832. 

Shiva will be observed at Maplewood Park Place on Sunday 3-5pm, Monday through Thursday 7-9pm with services at 7:30pm.  Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care.
