On August 20th, 2026 Lawrence Small of Rockville, MD passed away. Beloved husband of Rea Small; devoted father of Donald (Lauren) Small, Fred (Diane) Small, Terri (Richard Shapiro) Small, and Gail (William) Merriam; cherished grandfather of Adam (Rachel) Small, Sara (Gabe) Small, Ben (Beth) Small, Emily (Jon) Shapiro, Aaron Shapiro, Noah Merriam, and Eliza Merriam; also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. 

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Raised in Brooklyn and retired to Florida, Larry made the most of his years, enjoying life with family and friends. He was a devoted Dodger's fan, loved a good spy novel, a great conversation, and would always welcome you with a great smile.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 10:30am in the Garden of Remembrance Chapel followed by burial at Garden of Remembrance. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Johns Hopkins Pediatric Oncology or Alzheimer's Foundation.
