On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, Leslie Lurie Kerxton, of Potomac, Maryland passed away peacefully.  She was 83.  Beloved wife of 63 years to Alan Kerxton.  Devoted mother of Amy (Jay Diamonon), Susan, and Katherine (Billy Orlove).  Cherished Nana of Raquel and Charlie, and step-grandmother to Patrick and Julia.   Predeceased in death by her parents, Charles and Ruth Lurie, brother Leonard Lurie and niece Jill Klanfer.  Survived by sister Michelle Lurie and sister-in-law Cookie Kerxton.  Loving aunt to Liz Dahreddine, Robert (Jill) Kerxton, Jay (Nicole) Klanfer, Nancy (Rob) Zimmerman, and David (Jodi) Lurie.

Leslie was born on May 7, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio.  After graduating from Cleveland Heights High School, she graduated from The Ohio State University where she also met her partner and love of her life, Alan.

Leslie was an intelligent, creative, warm, and giving person who truly enjoyed everything that she pursued in life.  She will be remembered as an incredible wife, mother, and grandmother.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, at 2:00pm at King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, Virginia.  Shiva will be observed at the Kerxton home in Potomac on Saturday at 7pm.   Memorial contributions may be made to NAMI Montgomery County.
