Obituary

Lois Jean Klein passed away peacefully on January 27, 2022.  She is predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Bob; her parents, Tillie and Harry Kushner; her sister, Glorya; and her beloved daughter, Barbara.

Lois was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and raised her family in Levittown, PA. Over the years, she and Bob lived in Cleveland, Baltimore and Bethesda.  Wherever they went, they attracted a large and devoted group of friends - Bob with his joie de vivre, Lois with her kindness, empathy and grace.

While Lois and Bob traveled the world, Lois's favorite place was always home, and she took great pleasure in making it beautiful and welcoming for all. She was an avid MSNBC viewer, an exceptional jitter bugger, a talented floral arranger and a naturally gifted pianist, but her greatest joy came from surrounding Bob and herself with their family.

Lois leaves behind her adoring daughters Joanne Klapper and Ellen Klein, sons-in-law Barry Pupkin (Barbara Klein) Carl Klapper, Michael Gunther, grandchildren - who gave her such pleasure and pride - Matt Klapper (Vicky), David Pupkin, Scott Gunther (Rachel), Carrie Klapper-Matos (Adam), Stephen Pupkin (Becky), and Paul Gunther (Zoe), and finally, her two great-grandsons, Drew and Theo, who adored and thrilled their "Gigi".

Lois was the wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend everyone hopes to have. We're a lucky family, and her legacy of love, devotion, beauty and family will live on.

Donations in Lois' memory can be made to Jewish Federation of MetroWest NJ https://www.jfedgmw.org/ or to Bridging Voice https://bridgingvoice.org/.
