IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret
Brenner
February 28, 2024
Margaret Edith Brenner (Dekelbaum), a beloved and kind-hearted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Born on June 12, 1929, Margaret was a loving mother of two: Temima Brenner Kimes and Daniel Brenner (Susan). She was also a doting grandmother to her five grandchildren, Laura (Adrian), Kelly (Carlos), Amanda (Chris), Ryan (Abby), and Aimee (Tim). Her great-grandchildren, Madison, Ariel, Colin, Isaac, Maret, Oliver, Jack and the news of two baby boys on the way brought her joy in her later years.
Throughout her life, Margaret shared a deep love for music and her passion for music touched the hearts of all who heard her. Her love for music was evident in her community performances and at synagogue Ohr Chadash and Temple Micah, where she was a trailblazing female cantor.
Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Berthold (Bert) Brenner. Margaret and Bert together were famously inseparable; he the eternal tambourine to her song. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, companionship, hikes, and cherished memories. Their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Margaret also leaves behind cherished nephews and nieces, as well as beloved grand- and great- nephews and nieces and many friends. Her kind spirit and calming nature touched the lives of many, and her love will continue to be felt by all those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
In the midst of our grief, let us remember the beautiful legacy that Margaret has left behind. Her love, kindness, and passion for her family and music will forever remain in our hearts.
Funeral services will be held at noon on March 1 at the Judean Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JSSA or a charity of your choice in honor of Margaret's memory
