Obituary

Marilyn Cohen

August 4,1930-October 20, 2020

Marilyn was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Mother-In-Law, Aunt, Sister, Daughter, and friend to so many.

Her sense of humor kept us laughing. Her deep caring kept us comforted. Her smile and laughter lit up a room. Her perseverance and grit during her 90 years on Earth inspired us. We lost Marilyn after a short, but hard-fought fight against breast cancer.

We miss her, but are so grateful for all the wonderful memories she shared and left with us. Marilyn was a lifelong volunteer for various organizations including Hadassah, the Holocaust Museum, Holy Cross Hospital, and a multitude of committees at Leisure World and Aspenwood.

She is survived by her loving children, daughter Amy (Mike), son Arnie (Susie), and grandchildren, Jared, Jake, and Ben, as well as other family members and friends. She is predeceased by her mother and father, Sarah and Abe Stapelman, and husband Abraham (Abner) Cohen.

Services will be held at noon on Sunday, October 25th at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Adelphi, Maryland and on Zoom.

Donations in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, the Susan G. Komen Fountain for Breast Cancer, Hadassah, or a charity of your choice.
