On July 29, 2024, Marlene Leavey of Silver Spring passed away peacefully. She was the beloved wife of Steve, devoted mother of Aaron (Becky) and Milissa, loving sister of the late Melvin Kramer and cherished Grammy of Leora and Lila.

She was a wonderful baker, an admired mahjong player and teacher, a Broadway enthusiast, a voracious reader and a devoted dog mom to her shih tzu, Rudy.  Marlene and Steve were best friends since their first days at the University of Maryland. Marlene's biggest joy came from her close relationship with her granddaughters, Leora and Lila.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 1st at 10AM in the Chapel at Judean Gardens in Olney, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Kidney Foundation or Hadassah.
