IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Perry
Wagner
August 12, 1948 – June 20, 2023
On Tuesday, June 20, 2023, Michael Perry Wagner of Kensington, MD crossed the rainbow bridge. He is the beloved Husband of Camille Wagner, devoted Father to Jennifer (Brian) and David (Emily), loving brother to Sarah (Mike), Uncle to Ellie and Jilly and cherished Grandfather to Henry and John. He is also survived by his best friend Oliver and a large network of family and friends.
As a local businessman, he helped others to connect and accelerate their ideas. He was always energized by the next new idea. Many of the people he worked with and supported became dear friends and recipients of regular phone calls to get updates about that next idea or venture. Michael was a native Washingtonian and took pride in supporting his community. Whether he was bringing trucks of balloons to a school fair or helping a new business off the ground, Michael believed it was important to support and lift up others.
More than anything, Michael invested his time and energy in the children and the animals and that were in his care. He took great pride in watching them grow. He volunteered with several organizations, including the Basset Rescue League and the Therapeutic Riding Center at the Potomac Horse Center supporting dogs, horses, and the children who needed them as much as he did.
Michael will be met on the other side of the bridge by a large pack of very excited puppies expecting snacks. For those of us left on this side of the bridge, funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 28 at King David Memorial Gardens at 11am and the family will be sitting Shiva from 4-7 Wednesday afternoon at the Wagner family home in Kensington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the NIH Children's Inn .
