Mireille Jeanniton Célestin, age 71, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, devoted wife and loving mother of two, died Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Mireille Jeanniton Célestin was born December 29, 1953. Apart from her 25-year career in the hospitality industry at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Mireille also volunteered as a piano teacher and French teacher regularly where she found joy in sharing her love for classical music and other fine arts.

Mireille was best known for her sweet personality and gentle spirit. She was indeed a God-fearing woman in every aspect of her life. She led a life of discipline, goodwill, and faithfulness to the Most High first and foremost, then to her family. Mireille was especially close to her two children. Mireille passed away having lived a life full of love and joy. Her family loved and cherished her deeply. Even as Mireille drew her last breaths, her children were at her bedside comforting her and praying over her. Mireille left this realm knowing that she was loved and immensely treasured by her family.

Mireille is preceded in death by both parents and her firstborn daughter. She is survived by her husband, son, and daughter. She is also survived by Nicole Jeanniton her cousin, Evens Jeanniton her nephew, Wilsenda Jeanniton her niece, Francesca Jeanniton her cousin, Pierrela Jeanniton her cousin, Math Hermithe Jeanniton her niece, Wilfrantz Jeanniton her nephew, Stanley Jeanniton her nephew, Jean Yves Jeanniton her cousin, and Dagobert Jeanniton her nephew.

Although Mireille's physical presence no longer grace our lives, her spirit, and the impact she had on the lives of her family and friends continues to uplift and inspire. May her memory be a blessing forever and ever.
