On Tuesday, November 4, 2014 MIRIAM H. SMITH. Born in Pittsfield, Mass, she relocated to the Washington area in 1935. She was preceded in death by her former husbands Nathan Schuman, M.D., Lester Uretz and Charles E. Smith. Beloved mother of Leslie (Ronald) Schreiber, Laurie (Steven) Macht, Andrew (Leigh Carter) Schuman. She is also survived by five loving grandchildren, Deborah (Matthew) Brooks, Lisa (Ofer Khal) Schreiber, Bonnie (Raphael) Prober, Emily (Ruben) Fabregat, Jodie (Dan Ackerman) Macht; seven great grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loving caregivers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014, 1 p.m. at Adas Israel Congregation, 2850 Quebec Street, NW Washington, DC 20008. Interment following at Adas Israel Cemetery, Washington, DC. The family will receive at the late residence following the service. Shiva will be observed on Saturday evening.
