Muriel Esther Shpritz (Harris), born February 18, 1921, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the age of 99. Daughter of the late Leo Charles Harris and Eva Harris (Jones). Beloved wife of the late Dr. Manuel Shpritz; devoted mother of Eve Fischer (Dr. William Fischer), Dr. Edward Shpritz and Gary Shpritz; cherished grandmother of Adam Bernstein (Darci), Todd Bernstein (Amy), Dr. Eric Bernstein (Dr. Natalie Bernstein), Ryan Shpritz (Amy), Lori Schwartz (Richard), Jodie Kaplan (Dr. Mitchell Kaplan); loving great-grandmother of Zoe, Lex, Emi, Asher, Jacob, Isaac, Benjamin, Wyatt, Mattie, Adison, Brady, Chase, Kylie, William, and Abigail. Muriel was born in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York and she studied at Breneau College. She was a member of Temple Sinai in Washington DC, and a lifetime member of the National Council of Jewish Women and Hadassah. Private graveside services will be held at King David Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington.
