Myrna Weiss Fivel (age 79) on Friday, December 23, 2016. Mother of Jeremiah Fivel and the late Peter Fivel, grandmother to Jeremiah's children Benjamin, Ella and Lily and Peter's daughter Isobel; and beloved sister of Lynne Young. A memorial service will be held at Ring House (1801 East Jefferson St. Rockville, MD) on January 4 from 2:00 to 4:00 p:m. Myrna died suddenly of a heart attack at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD after a very short hospital stay. Myrna will be remembered for many things, first and foremost her extraordinary generosity to all she knew, especially her children and grandchildren. Myrna loved every aspect of being a mother and grandmother and found particular delight in playing and laughing with her children when they were young and with her grandchildren. Nothing and no one was more important to her. Her love of art, ideas and travel took her to many places around the world throughout her life. Her travels were indelibly recorded in her mind. Her ability and joy in sharing what she had seen and experienced was remarkable. Myrna will be missed in ways that words simply cannot capture by her whole family and all of her close friends.
