Nataliya Yuryevna Gorbataya, age 36, of Burtonsville, MD, left us unexpectedly on April 16th, 2020. She was born on August 17th, 1983 in Kirov, Russia then moved to the United States with her father in 2005. She leaves behind her loving fiancé', Brian Gunsberg, her loving brother, Sergey Gorbataya, and her loving aunt, Lyudmila Vasilevsky.

Nataliya was a beloved and loving sister, sympathetic, always ready and eager to help others, extremely purposeful, very smart and incredibly gifted. She will be reunited with her other relatives which are already buried at Chesed Shel Emes: grandfather Mendel Gorbaty, Grandmother, Ita Nameot, Uncle, Semion Vasilevsky, and her Father, Yuri Gorbaty.

Nataliya's education includes a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College and a degree in Bachelors of Arts Economics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County

Nataliya excelled in her career in non-profit. She was a federal employee working at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation as a budget analyst in Washington, DC.  Nataliya was an absolute true one of a kind and always had a thirst for learning history. She was a true cat lover and would always make sure she had a cat-related memorabilia item on herself every day. Every morning, she would make sure her cat Opal gets her daily play time and is well fed. On weekends, she would volunteer and help homeless cats.

Nataliya always had a preference for Stargazer Lilies but would settle for the occasional bouquet of roses. She also loved various cheese and wines from all over the world. She enjoyed Opera and Heavy Metal music as well. Nataliya was always generous person and was never selfish.
