Neil Bernstein, 56, a long-time resident of Rockville, MD, passed away in February 2023.  He is survived by his mother, Valerie, his brother, Mark, his sister-in-law Carolyn and his niece, Lila.  Of special relationship are his uncle Noel, and aunts Rona and Toby.  His father, Bruce, pre-deceased him in 2020.  Neil was born in New York City and moved to Maryland with his family in 1977.  He graduated from Thomas Wootton H.S., the University of Pennsylvania and Brooklyn Law School.  Neil was the creator and administrator of two very large Facebook groups for Wootton High and University of Pennsylvania alumni, something he cared deeply about.

Neil was a person of deep warmth and spontaneity, enabling him to acquire a broad range of friendships and acquaintances - he would say "hello" to everyone....his affinity for people was most enduring....he touched so many lives and will be sorely missed.

A Graveside service will be held Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Judean Memorial Gardens at 16225 Batchellors Forest Road, Olney, MD.  The family plans to offer a zoom option and details on that are forthcoming.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org), Michael J. Fox Foundation (michaeljfox.org), Sierra Club (sierraclub.org) and/or The American Heart Association (heart.org).
