Patricia Bulhack passed away peacefully at her home in Garrett Park, Maryland, on May 17, 2026. 

Patricia dedicated her professional life to public service and scientific excellence. She worked as a chemist for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for thirty-two years. During her distinguished career, she served for eleven years as Chief of the Color Certification Branch within the Colors and Cosmetics program. She was also an active member of the American Chemical Society's Division of Analytical Chemistry. 

Outside of her professional accomplishments, Patricia enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader. Following her retirement from the FDA, she continued serving her community by working part-time in the Admissions Department at Sibley Memorial Hospital for twenty-five years. 

Patricia will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her appreciation for the arts, and her lifelong love of animals. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lynne Bulhack; her nephew, Tom Bulhack (Leah); her nieces, Heather Fields (John), Kirsten Kraljevic (Michael), and Tamara Bulhack; her great-nieces, Olivia Fields, Julia Fields, and Hannah Kraljevic; and her great-great-niece, Wynonna Perry. 

Patricia will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
