Obituary

On December 7, 2014 Philip E. Watson of Silver Spring, MD went home to be with the Lord, due to complications from pneumonia. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Arlyce Watson, his two children, Dewey H. Watson and Darlene E. Watson, and his brother, Donald Watson. He was the son of late Dewey R. Watson and Ruth M. Watson. Philip was born in Chicago, Illinois on Aug. 11, 1941. He graduated from Libertyville High School in 1959, and Gallaudet College in 1967 where he was Editor-in-Chief of Buff and Blue, the college's newspaper. He graduated from Jane Addams School with an MSW in 1975. He was a member of Metro Washington Association of the Deaf Blind and Cerebral Palsy and Deaf Organization. He enjoyed camping, sailing and collecting rocks. A memorial Service will be held in his honor on Sunday December 21st2014, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Berwyn Baptist Church 4720 Cherokee Street, College Park, MD 20704.
