On Thursday, January 25 2024, Richard "Dick" Emil Katzman of Rockville, MD. Passed peacefully, surrounded by family.  He was 92 years old, just a few weeks shy of his 93rd birthday. Beloved Husband of  Barbara Katzman  devoted father of Evan Katzman (Lisa Katzman) and Elisa Subin (Russell Subin); Loving brother of Paul Katzman, of blessed memory; Cherished grandfather of David and Caroline Katzman, and Yonaton (Ziesel) and Galit Subin.

An electrical engineer by training, he had a natural knack for fixing anything, which was passed down to his children and grandchildren.  He worked for the New York City Schools and the Federal Government in lighting and facilities infrastructure.  Richard was also a patriot, serving in U.S. Army during the Korean War. His avid hobbies included photography, crossword puzzles, and Sudoku. Richard was beloved for his light-hearted personality and sense of humor.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 28th at 2:00pm.
