Dr. RICHARD JUDAH HOLLANDER "Dick" (Age 84) of Rockville, MD passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Beloved and devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Lois Schwartz Hollander of 62 years; his children, Margo Rosenberg (David), Dr. David Hollander (Jen), Lisa Akman (Danny); his niece and nephews, Susan Ciafardini (Tony), Dr. Stephen Capon (Jamie), Jonathan Capon (Shawn) and Joshua Capon (Karen); 20 cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother-in-law, Harry Schwartz. The son of Samuel and Sadie Hollander and brother of the late Rita Hollander Capon. Dick was born and raised in Huntington, NY. He settled in the Washington, DC area in 1962 where he practiced pediatrics for 35 years. He lived his life selflessly, always putting his family and the greater community first. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 12 Noon at Congregation B''Nai Tzedek, 10621 South Glen Rd., Potomac, MD 20854. Burial will follow at Garden of Remembrance, 14321 Comus Rd., Clarksburg, MD 20871. Shiva services will be observed on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at the home of Lois Hollander. Family will also welcome visitors on Friday afternoon.
