Rita Horwitz died peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of the late Philip Horwitz; dear mother of Esther Gitlitz and Barbara (John) Hihn; cherished Baubie to Heather (Mike) Bonsiero, Melissa Kahn, Harry (Christa) Gitlitz and Josh Kahn; Great-Baubie to Audrina, Emmy, Phillip and Joey; cherished sister of the late Sally Jaffe and the late Frani Isaacs; loving sister-in-law of the late Murray (Eileen) and the late Chick (Judy).

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 10, 10:00 a.m. at Judean Chapel in Olney, MD. ***The family requests that anyone planning to attend the service be fully vaccinated***

Family will be receiving friends following the funeral into Tuesday evening at the home of Barbara and John Hihn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation to support Parkinson's research.
