Robert (Bob) Aksamit of Rockville, MD passed away at Suburban Hospital on September 21, 2021, at the age of 77.  He was born in Nebraska and spent his childhood in Wyoming.  Earned degrees from University of Wyoming & Oklahoma State University.  He met his wife while at OK State.  He loved to travel & spend time in nature (hiking, birdwatching, taking drives) with his family.  He truly enjoyed working at NIH & FDA for 45 years.

He is predeceased by his parents Roscoe & Leatha Aksamit.

He is survived by his wife, Linda.  Children: Susan (Bryan), Tracy, Dawn (Rick).  Grandchildren: Adeline, Emerson, Charley, Everett.

He was cremated and burial will occur at a later date at the Wilber Czech Cemetery in Wilber, Nebraska.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, Appalachian Trail Conservancy or National Park Foundation.
