Robin "Bob" Myles Mund of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024.

Bob was born in the Bronx, New York on May 4, 1939. Bob graduated from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science and received a Master's Degree in Special Education from CW Post College of Long Island University. Bob and Carole were married for 58 Years. Following a career in medical sales, Bob became a teacher of biology and animal science in New York City. It truly was what he was meant to do. He was proud that he worked with the most difficult students, and in many cases turned them around. They resided for nearly forty years in Commack, New York. Before residing at Leisure World in Maryland, Bob and his wife lived in Lake Worth, Florida.

Bob was exceptionally proud of his children, Nathaniel Mund (Suzanne Geosits) and Stephanie Marcus (Kenneth Marcus), and the adults they became. He also adored being a PopPop to his grandchildren, Sarah and Shoshana. He especially loved taking them to museums, attending their plays, recitals, games, and exhibits. He shared with them his love of reading. Even in the last few years he always wanted to know when the "kids were coming".

Bob loved animals, playing golf, traveling, his beloved Yankees and, most of all, reading. To the very end he carried a book with him. Bob had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to regale stories of his life experiences. He will fondly be remembered by family and friends, and by the many lives he touched.

Graveside services were held on January 29, 2024, at Mount Hebron Cemetery in Queens, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association ( alz.org ), and Montgomery Hospice ( montgomeryhospice.org/donate-now ).
