Rose Beth Galitzer, Special Education Teacher, 77, of Montgomery Village, Maryland, passed away on August 22, 2022 after a protracted battle with a Parkinson's-like illness.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Sidney; two children, Amy and Tammy; and two grandchildren, Benjamin and Daniel.

Rose grew up in the Bronx in New York, daughter of Morris and Frieda Karmel. She always valued education and took courses for many years after obtaining her masters degree. Rose was a well-respected teacher for more than 30 years, including a long time as a special education teacher at Pikesville Middle School in Pikesville, Maryland. Rose loved to create things. She always had a project in the works…stained and fused glass, copper enamel, macrame, batiking, pottery, embroidery design. She also enjoyed exploring in their motor home, collecting rocks along the way. She was fun to be around; her laugh was infectious. Our family is grateful to know that Rose is finally at peace.
