On December 18th, 2024, Ruth Edna Tockman (Cozart) of Potomac, Maryland passed away peacefully at the age of 95 years.

Ruth was born on August 13th, 1929, to Cyrus and Pansy Cozart of Proctor, WV.  She graduated from Magnolia High School in 1946 and retired from C&P Telephone Company. She married the love of her life, Dr. Albert Tockman, and they lived in Baltimore, Silver Spring, Northbrook (IL) and Potomac, MD.

Ruth is survived by her children, Daniel (Ilene) Tockman of Olney, MD and Karen Tockman of Chicago, IL, grandchildren Tyler (Wendy Shwe fiancée) Tockman, Kyle (Samantha) Tockman, sister Shirley Haught and brother French (June) Cozart of New Martinsville, WV, in addition to her many nieces & nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Al, her parents, brother Willis Cozart, sister Joan (Don) Kimble, brother Kenneth (Sue) Cozart, brother-in-law Kenneth Haught and nephew Jeff Cozart.

A friend to many, she was a cherished member of the community in Potomac, MD, and her Temple Emanuel community in Kensington, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and generosity.

Ruth was laid to rest on December 22nd, 2024, in Judean Memorial Gardens, Olney, MD.
