Ruthye Silver, 95, passed away on May 25, 2026.

Born in Pittsburgh on February 3, 1931, she was the daughter of Ethel and Bernard Rosenberg. Ruthye built a long career in real estate and property management, working in Maryland before relocating to Florida in 1988.

An avid dog enthusiast, she spent nearly 50 years raising and showing dogs. She maintained her independence and physical strength late into life, frequently noting with pride that she was still capable of throwing large bags of dog food well into her 80s.

Beloved wife of the late Harold Silver; devoted mother of Jeffrey Silver, Julia (Steve) Edelman, and Stacy (Craig) Knott; loving sister of the late Sanford Joel Rosenberg; cherished grandmother of Samuel (Kristin) and Harlow; great-grandmother of Hayden and Noelani.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, 12 p.m. at Judean Memorial Gardens, Olney, MD.
