SCOTT L. SPEAR Pioneer in Reconstructive Plastic Surgery dies at 68 Dr. Scott L. Spear, an icon in the field of plastic surgery, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 16, 2017 at his home in Bethesda, Maryland. He was 68. He was taken from us unexpectedly and too soon, but in a happy moment in both his life and career. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Cindy; his three children, Alexandra Spear Peurach (Matthew), Geri Spear Allyn (Conor) and Louis Spear (Emily); and his two grandchildren, Aidan Scott Allyn and Reese Alexandra Peurach. Other family members include brother, James Spear (Enid) and sister, Carol Gittler. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, March 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb Street NW, Washington, DC 20016. All are welcome.
