Selma Wolfsohn Samols, retired local attorney and activist, passed away on January 7, 2017, at the age of 103. Selma was a pioneer as a woman in the legal profession in the 1930s and '40s, and was active in the Washington desegregation movement of the 1950s and the anti-Vietnam War movement of the 1960s. She is survived by her children, David and Ellen; grandchildren, Jake, Mark, and Lisa; and great-grandchildren, Maria and Benjamin.
