On Friday, October 23rd, 2026, Shalev Weinstein of Vienna, Virginia passed away. 

Beloved Husband of Joyce Weinstein; devoted Father of Sharon Weinstein Goldberg and Glen Weinstein; Loving brother of Dror Weinstein and Ptachya Weinstein: Cherished Saba (grandfather) of Ethan and Charles Weinstein and Abigail and Lila Goldberg.

He was born in Israel and served in the Israel Defense Force. He came to the United States in 1963 after marrying Joyce. He studied Mechanical Engineering and later received a master’s in industrial engineering. After retiring from engineering his love of photography became a profession. He photographed dance, theater, and musical performances.

He had a lasting relationship with the GALA Hispanic Theater and was honored for his contributions in 2018. Shalev loved to travel. This is a joy that he shared with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Shalev always told the people he loved to “be happy”. For him that meant find joy and meaning in your work and always be curious.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 26th at 3pm at King David Memorial Gardens, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish National Fund. Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care.
