On Saturday, August 12, 2023, Sylvia Rock-McCormick, of Millersville, MD passed away. Beloved wife of Daniel R. McCormick; devoted mother of Bree Rock (Chris), Eric McCormick (Annie) and Laurie Covington (Brody); loving sister of Barbara Hurwitz (Allan) and Sonda Shemer (Eric); cherished grandmother of Jake Fischvogt, Arizona Fischvogt, Parker McCormick, Lucie McCormick, Sophia Covington and Connor Covington; also survived by beloved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Graveside will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023, 3 p.m. at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church, VA. Family will be observing shiva Sunday – Tuesday with Minyan at 7 p.m. at the family home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Charles E. Smith Life Communities or the charity of your choice.
