On Monday, February 6, 2017, Toni A. Ritzenberg, a long-time resident of Washington, DC passed away peacefully. She was a community and political activist, and philanthropist for the arts and programs for youth. Toni was born in Philadelphia and spent fifteen formative years in Los Angeles. She is the daughter of the late Mickey Ziffren and Milton Ritzenberg. She is survived by her brother John (Michelle) Ziffren of Los Angeles, her niece and nephew Alison and Ben Ziffren. She also leaves her numerous Tracy, Ritzenberg, McColloch, Perloff and Ziffren cousins, and many friends in Washington, DC, and Richmond, VA. Contributions in her memory may be made to the educational and community outreach programs of The Phillips Collection, The Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC, and Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, VA. A memorial service in celebration of Toni's life will be announced.
