Zachary Ryan Wallach (38), of Gaithersburg, Maryland, passed away on October 26, 2026. 

Born on April 6, 1988, Zachary grew up in Gaithersburg, where he attended Quince Orchard High School. He went on to earn a degree in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland.

Zachary had a passion for computers. He built his own, wrote software, and was extraordinarily smart. He loved video games, and he loved the beach, especially body surfing. He spent many years working in the food and service industry, where his customers adored him. But those who knew him will remember most his kindness. He cared deeply about others, was always eager to help, and had a smile that could light up a room.

He is survived by his parents, Chuck and Barbara Wallach, and his brother, Evan Wallach.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th, 10am, graveside at Garden of Remembrance, 14321 Comus Rd. Clarksburg, MD.

The family will receive guests for lunch after the burial service at the home of Scott and Allison Fishkind. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Zach’s memory be made to Mike’s Place.
