Of Silver Spring, MD, died May 2, 2023 after a short illness. Beloved wife of the late Melvin Gollub, loving mother of Mark, Susan and Judi and cherished grandmother of Max Binstock (Kathleen), Benjamin Gollub (Dian), Sammi Gollub, Jamie Binstock, Abby Clinkscale and RJ Clinkscale.
Born in New York to Louis and Rae Elian, on September 29, 1934, Ada graduated from Albany State Teacher’s College (now SUNY Albany) with a bachelor’s degree in English and Temple University with a master’s degree in Speech Pathology. Melvin met Ada in 1957 on a blind date and knew right away that he wanted to marry her. Upon retirement, Ada and Mel fulfilled their lifelong dream of traveling around the world for many years.
Ada was frequently the life of the party enjoying storytelling and appreciating the friendships that surrounded her. A celebration of her life will be held at her residence from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 6, 2023. Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
