Beatrice Bass, 94, passed away peacefully in her home in New Orleans, surrounded by loved ones.
Beatty was born on December 23, 1928. She was a longtime resident of Silver Spring, MD. She is predeceased by her loving husband Earl “Buddy” Bass and parents, Sam and Sadie Klein. She is survived by her 4 devoted children: Sherry Bass, Steve Bass (Maggie), Joe Bass (Judy), and Abby Napoli (Craig); her loving brothers Bernie Klein (the late Esther) and Benson Klein (Carol); her cherished grandchildren: Asa, Jaclyn, Heather, Laura (Michael), Michelle (Josh), Liam, David (Amy), Shayna, Jonathan (Sammi); her 9 beloved great-grandchildren: Natalie, Emma, Charlotte, Ronin, Wyatt, Palmer, Mia, Lucile, and Milly; as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Known to her family and friends as Bea or Beatty, to her grandchildren as Grandma, to her great-grandchildren as G-Baby and GiGi, and to her nieces and nephews, as Aunt Beatty. She was surrounded by love to the very last second. She spent her days in New Orleans with a rotating door of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to dote on. She was adored for her kind spirit, quick wit, and candid honesty. She was the holder of random facts and had a memory that we could always count on. She will live on in the memory of those that had the honor of knowing her. Those that knew Bea, loved her dearly.
