Beatrice “Bea” Fox, 106, of Rockville, formerly of Stamford, Connecticut and Tamarac, Florida, died peacefully after a long struggle at her home in Rockville. Born September 30, 1916, New York City, the daughter of immigrant parents from Russia (now Belarus).
Beatrice graduated from Evander Child High School in Bronx, NY and worked briefly as a dental assistant. Beatrice cherished her marriage of 63 loving years to the late Hyman Fox. Bea was active in philanthropic efforts and served as the president of the Stamford Chapter of Woman’s American ORT for many years. She was very devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and along with her husband, traveled extensively to visit them when they were living in Germany, Japan, and Australia. She vacationed often with Hyman to Israel, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. Bea loved to cook and entertain family and friends, of whom she had many.
Surviving are her two sons, David Fox (Cynthia) and Gary Fox (Christine); five grandsons: Greg (Ilene), Andrew (Tricia), Daniel (Jade), Corey (Claire), and Aaron (Brooke); and nine great-grandchildren: Delaney, Keaton, Kamden, Freddie, Charlotte, Hendrix, Spencer, and Stella.
Graveside services will be held at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation Cemetery, 318 Berrymans Lane, Reisterstown, MD on Monday, February 6th, 2023 at 11am. Temple Beth Shalom will be live streaming the service for guests that would like to attend remotely.
The family will be receiving following burial at the home of David and Cindy Fox, starting at 5pm. Minyan will be at 7pm.
