Bernice Erdrich Obituary
Bernice "Bun" Erdrich passed away peacefully on January 25, 2017 surrounded by many saddened friends. She leaves behind the love of her life, friend, soul mate of 63 years, Howard. Daughter of the late Max and Anne Lechowitz, her loving sister Myrna Rogoff, her late daughter Gayle Tucker of loving memory, beloved son stewart, beautiful and caring daughter in law Ilene, special grandchildren Brandon, Molly, Gillian, Max, Alli and Jillian. Many, many nieces and nephews who all looked at her for loving guidance and encouragement.
Bun was there as a partner and organizer through good times and tragic times. She loved putting together Passover, parties for special occasions, Howards birthdays, so we could be with family and friends for good times. Bun lived an active and meaningful life. She could never sit still. First as a Sunday School teacher in Norfolk, VA, involved with Head Start there, 30 years as a lecturer for weight watchers, assistant to the director of ACLCIO Postal workers' union health plan and concluded with a position with the Naval Surplus Weapon Department.
Bun never neglected her family being there for their needs, advice and care. Yet, her least enjoyable active was cooking. She will be sorely missed by Howard, family members and so many friends. Please remember Bun as a giving, considerate and compassionate to one and all.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 at B'Nai Tzedek 2:00pm, 10621 South Glen Road, Potomac, MD 20854 with Interment at Garden of Remembrance in Clarksburg, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to B'Nai Tzedek.
