Dr. Susan Gross

Dr. Susan Gross, (79) of Gaithersburg, MD passed away on August 27, 2020. Ex-wife of the late Stuart Gross, Susan is survived by her loving children Sonya (Steve) of Cheverly, MD and Seth (Robin) of Brooklyn, NY, as well as her adoring grandchildren, Leah and Nate Gross.

Susan grew up in the Bronx in New York City. She graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in the Bronx and got her bachelor's degree from Hunter College in Manhattan. She later achieved a doctoral degree from the University of Chicago. She devoted her life and career to teaching and educational research, all the while raising two children entirely on her own. She was a generous and doting grandma to Leah and Nate, and spent many an hour reading to them and playing games. She loved to knit clothing for them and to shower them with gifts.
