Dr. Charles Greenhouse

Dr. Charles S. Greenhouse passed away on Sept 9, 2023 in Palm Beach Gardens. He was 86 years old. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Linda Greenhouse; his son David (Deborah) Greenhouse; daughter Audrey (Jon) Friedlander and daughter-in-law Robyn Greenhouse; grandchildren Alyssa, Jordan (Katrina), Hannah (Christopher), Justin, Ryan, Jacob, Tyler, Joey, and Dylan. He is predeceased by his son Stephen Greenhouse

Charles graduated from Alfred University where he met his wife Linda. He attended Howard University school of medicine and trained in OBGYN at the Washington hospital center. He did an internship at Long Island Jewish Hospital and then entered the army during the Vietnam war. He was awarded  the Bronze Star.

Charles had a long and distinguished career as an OBGYN in Silver Springs, MD. He was a founding partner of Tenenblat, Haim, and Greenhouse. He met former patients or children he delivered whenever he went out. He practiced medicine for over 40 years.

In his later life he and Linda split their time between their homes in Maryland and Florida. He enjoyed playing golf and bridge. His garden was always full of flowers. He was always happiest when surrounded by family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the charity if your choice.

Services are at 10:00am on Tuesday , September 12, 2023 at Garden of Remembrance in Clarksburg, MD.  Shiva will be observed Tuesday at 6:30 at the home of Audrey and Jon.
