Dr. William Kurstin of Washington, DC passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021, of natural causes at the ripe age of 102. Beloved husband of 70 years to the late Sally G. Kurstin; devoted father of Gary (Bette) Kurstin and Adrienne Maman and the late Dr. Ronald Kurstin; loving grandfather of Randy (Susie) Kurstin, Todd (Maria) Kurstin, Joshua (Melissa) Kurstin, Melanie Kurstin, Ryan (Amanda) Kurstin, Scott (Heather) Kurstin, Lauren (Dan) Kurstin, Michael Maman, David Maman and Julia Maman; great-grandfather of Rachel, Rebekah, Isabella, Addison, Maddox, Stryker, Samantha and Ella. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He graduated from George Washington University Medical School and served in the Army as a doctor. He practiced in Washington, DC as a prominent Internist of Endocrinology, specialist in diabetes and weight management. William was loved by all his patients. He retired from private practice in 1996 and continued as a doctor for the Federal Government buildings until the age of 90. Graveside services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
