Evelyn Goldberg (nee Daroff), age 92, died peacefully at home July 26, 2021 in Springfield, VA.
Mrs. Goldberg had resided in Cheltenham, PA; the Northeast neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA; and the Logan section of Philadelphia before moving to Virginia in 1999.
She was the devoted wife of 53 years to the late Jack E. Goldberg. Together, they operated Modern Pharmacy, Inc., in Philadelphia from 1956 until 1990. In the 1970s, she also worked as a secretary for Congregation Adath Jeshurun in Elkins Park, PA.
Mrs. Goldberg was the cherished mother of Michael (Cheryl) Goldberg, Myrtle Beach, SC; and Ivy (Mark) Richards, Pacific Grove, CA.
She was the loving grandmother of Julie Alexander, Eric Goldberg and Lori Rosenblatt, and the great-grandmother of six. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Born in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Max and Ida Daroff, and sister of the late Faye Daroff Goldberg, Morris (Maish) Daroff, Albert Daroff, Nathan Daroff and Morton Daroff.
Graveside services will be held promptly at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021 at Haym Salomon Memorial Park (Section AA-5A), Frazer, PA. Arrangements are by Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care, Inc., Rockville, MD (www.sagelbloomfield.com/obituary/Evelyn-Goldberg).
