Obituary
Laurie Farrington of Bethesda, Maryland died on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Born on November 1, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio, Laurie raised her family in Reisterstown, Maryland, and Jacksonville, Florida, and spent the final 21 years of her life in Bethesda as close to her beloved grandchildren as possible.
Quick-witted and loving, Laurie was a magnet for great friends. She was a passionate and gifted artist across mediums, excelling in textiles, ceramics, watercolors, and landscape and portrait painting.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt, and friend, Laurie is survived by her children, Daniel (Rebecca) and David Farrington, her siblings Sherry Ackerman and Douglas Levine, and her grandchildren Nathan and Zachary Farrington.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 11,2023, 10 a.m. at Congregation Beth El, 8215 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, with interment to follow at Garden of Remembrance in Clarksburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fox Hill Assisted Living Holiday Fund, c/o NCB, 8300 Burdette Road, Bethesda, MD 20817.
