Melvin Gollub of Silver Spring, MD, died November 25, 2021, after a short illness and two days shy of his sixty-fourth wedding anniversary. Beloved husband of Ada, loving father of Mark, Susan and Judi and cherished grandfather of Max Binstock (Kathleen), Benjamin Gollub (Dian), Sammi Gollub, Jamie Binstock, Abby Clinkscale and RJ Clinkscale.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, to Morris and Anna Gollub, on June 19, 1928. Mel started his storied career in broadcasting at age fifteen. He graduated from Drexel Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Business Administration and Temple University with an M.A. in Communications – he was one of the first to be granted that degree from the school. He met Ada in 1957 on a blind date and knew right away that he wanted to marry her.
Mel was notorious for his subtle but hilarious sense of humor. A celebration of his life will be held at his residence from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 28, 2021. Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
