Michael Schecter Obituary
Michael Lewis Schecter, at the age of 77 passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022. Michael lived his life surrounded by his devoted family. He was the beloved son of the late Molly and Melvin Schecter; caring brother of Shirlee (William) Blanken; loving uncle of Hillary (Fred) Gallo and Brandt (Richelle) Blanken; cherished great uncle of Benjamin, Chase and Tanner Blanken and Mia Gallo.
Michael’s strength, as he faced many adversities was an inspiration for those who cared for him. He lived his life surrounded by loved ones, and we are all better people for having had him in our lives. Hopefully Michael has found peace.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, 3:30 p.m. at Judean Memorial Gardens, Olney, MD. Family will be observing shiva at 7:00 PM after the funeral at the home of Shirlee and William Blanken. Contributions in Michael’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
