Pauline Lipser Witkin passed away on May 28, 2022 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Witkin, by her second husband, Max Polansky, and by her sister, Sally Korobkin. She was the loving mother of Faith (Michael) Schwartz, Lynn (Lewis) Witkin-Weinstein, and Steven (Jill) Witkin, the devoted grandmother of Dawn (Tyler) Schwartz, Robert (Joanna) Schwartz, Harrison Weinstein, and Lisa (Cameron)Weinstein. David (Yael) Weinstein, Hannah Witkin and Molly Witkin. She was thrilled by the recent births of two great-grandchildren: Kaia Womack and Simon Bellini with whom she enjoyed wonderful visits this month. She was also the great-grandmother of Naomi Weinstein.
Paulie was a proud graduate of The Pennsylvania State University where she was a varsity debater. After graduating she became a dedicated and well loved third grade teacher. She enjoyed volunteering in the community, was an active member of Beth El Congregation in Levittown, Pa., an instructor at Job Corps, an English language tutor for new immigrants, and a volunteer at the League of Women Voters.
Paulie enjoyed traveling with Don and together they made friends all over the world. She later spent fifteen years in California with her second husband, Max, who was a friend from her college days.
Graveside services will be held at King David Cemetery in Bensalem, Pa. Shiva will be observed at the Witkin-Weinstein home on Tuesday, May 31 and Wednesday June 1 and at the Schwartz residence on Thursday, June 2.
