Randy Cutler

Randy Rose Cutler, 83, passed away on March 18,2017 in the arms of her loved ones, in Bethesda, Maryland.

Randy was born in New York City on July 27, 1933 to Samuel and Ida Handelsman. She attended High School in Brooklyn. She then, a bit later in life, went on to earn her Bachelors degree from the University of Maryland because she wanted to teach special education, which she did for those fortunate enough to be her students, for 20 years in Montgomery County.

Randy married the love of her life, Jay Cutler, when she was 18 and they shared 53 years of joy together, raising two daughters, Hollie Cutler and Perri Cutler. Randy and Jay travelled through life and travelled the world together. Randy enjoyed creating the winning skating and Halloween costumes for the other love of her life, her granddaughter, Mikayla, as well as attending all of Mikayla's many skating and equestrian competitions and academic performances and activities. Randy was there for all of her loved ones' important and less important events, always with so much love and a smile. Her greatest joy was watching her loved ones grow and navigate life. Randy was a kind, cultured, Interested and interesting soul who will be greatly missed by her small Family and Large Circle of friends, more than words could ever say.

Aside from her children and granddaughter, Randy is survived by her sister and brother in law, Zelda and Arthur Bowen, her brother, Lewis Handelsman and his partner, Barbara Wexford, and their children and grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 10:30AM at Washington Hebrew Congregation. Interment will follow at Garden of Remembrance, Clarksburg, Maryland. Shiva will be observed from 6:00PM to 9:00PM Wednesday evening at Randy's home.
