Raymond Greenberg

Raymond Greenberg of W. Palm Beach, Florida died on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the age of 94.  Raymond was born in Washington, DC, in 1929, the son of Moritz and Mollie Greenberg, who were Austrian immigrants who worked to achieve the American Dream. Raymond was one of five children (Ann Silverman, Harold Greenberg, Hermen Greenberg, and Lee Kirstein) and was taught hard work at a young age. He never finished school and enlisted in the Army to serve his country. He always said, “his parents taught him hard work and the Army was his education”.

While working for his parent’s window washing company, he met the love of his life Marilyn Revitz. It was love at first sight and grew for 65 years. They were never apart and were completely devoted to each other. After getting married, he struck out on his own in the home building business which he made his career.  Raymond and Marilyn travelled the world. They embarked on a months-long journey to visit six continents and spent 65 years exploring countless cities and countries. During half of each year, they lived aboard their boat traveling up and down the Atlantic Ocean aboard the My Marilyn, which was named after his beloved wife.

Raymond is survived by his children Lisa Greenberg (Kelsa) of Potomac, MD, Susan Siegel (Brad) of Olney, MD, Neil Greenberg (Katherine) of McLean, VA, and Adam Greenberg (Courtney) of Potomac, MD, and grandchildren Molly Siegel, Marc Greenberg, Lexi Siegel, Amanda Greenberg, Nicole Greenberg, Kyle Greenberg, Zoe Siegel, Blake Greenberg, Richard Greenberg, AJ Greenberg, and Ana Greenberg.

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2023, 12 p.m. at The Marilyn and Raymond Greenberg Memorial Center at Garden of Remembrance, 14321 Comus Road, Clarksburg, MD 20871. Family and friends are invited and encouraged to attend. For those who are unable to attend in person, they may attend remotely at gardenofremembrance.org.
