Robert Louis Hofmann

Robert "Bob" Hofmann of Silver Spring MD, died on Saturday April 17, 2021. He was 62 years old.

Bob was born in New York, to Anna and Robert Hofmann. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mindy; his two beloved children Jake and Zoey; his siblings Deborah Custer, Dale Hofmann, Darhlene Currier, Mellisa Carlson; his sister-in-law Melanie Lindewurth, and his father-in-law Melvin Kurtz. Bob is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Those family bonds were everything to him. He was predeceased by his brother William Hofmann. 

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Norbeck Memorial Park. Due to covid, only 50 people are permitted on site. The service will be live-streamed, please reach out to the family for the zoom link. Family will be observing Shiva via Zoom on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Georgetown Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, or a charity of your choice in his honor. 

The family will be creating a Bob Hofmann Memorial Legacy Fund in his honor that will be used to further the community service work he so loved and valued. When the details are solidified, details will be shared by way of social media.
