Ruth Miriam Berlin

Ruth Miriam Berlin, age 83, died in her home in Naples, Florida on Friday, May 26, 2023. Ruth was an educator and worked for Montgomery County Public Schools for over 35 years. Ruth was an avid Mahjong player in her retirement years.

Ruth is survived by her brother David (Laura) Sheinhorn of Elkridge, Maryland, her son, Dan Berlin of Dallas, Texas, her daughter Deborah (Lee) Engle of Naples, Florida, and her daughter-in-law Nicole Berlin-Steiman (Sam) of Salt Lake City, Utah. Ruth is also survived by her five grandsons, Nathan (Gene) Berlin, Jacob (Bryanna) Berlin, Alexander Berlin, William Engle, and Robert Engle. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Sammy.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2023, 2 p.m. at Judean Memorial Gardens in Olney, Maryland.  Shiva will be held immediately following the funeral at Gatherings at Lyndwood Clubhouse, 7300 Maplecrest Road, Elkridge, MD.
